Editorial Standards
Balance Complex publishes educational content about the vaginal microbiome, women's intimate health, and probiotics. Because this is health information, we hold every article to the same standard for accuracy, sourcing, and transparency. This page explains how our articles are written, checked, reviewed, and corrected.
How Our Articles Are Written
Our articles are drafted with the help of AI writing tools, working from a brief our team sets and from the published research each article cites.
Before an article is published, the draft must pass automated checks. Every citation, and every claim that relies on one, is checked against our database of verified studies, and the draft is checked against our product facts, required safety wording, and language we do not use. A draft that fails a check is not published.
Human Review
A member of the Balance Complex Editorial Team reads each article before it is published or on the day it is published, and checks it against the standards on this page. If the reviewer finds a problem, we correct the article. Once the review is recorded, the article shows the line “Reviewed by the Balance Complex Editorial Team” under its publish date.
Review is credited to the Balance Complex Editorial Team as an organization, not to an individual. It is an editorial review, not a medical or clinical review: we do not claim clinician endorsement or endorsement by any medical association or professional body, and no content on this site should be read as a clinical recommendation.
Sources
Our health content is grounded in published, peer-reviewed research. When an article makes a factual claim about the vaginal microbiome, probiotic strains, or intimate health, we support it with a citation to the primary literature, such as clinical trials, systematic reviews, or studies indexed in PubMed, and link to the source where possible so readers can check it.
- We prioritize peer-reviewed studies, clinical trials, and reputable public-health references over blogs or unsourced claims.
- We do not publish fabricated statistics. Every percentage or quantitative claim traces to a cited source or is removed.
- We distinguish clearly between what research shows and what remains uncertain or emerging.
Corrections
If we find a factual mistake, or a reader reports one, we review it promptly and correct the article. A corrected article goes through the same automated checks before the change goes live. Each article shows the date it was first published; we do not display separate review or update dates. If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, please tell us through our Contact page.
Medical Disclaimer
The content on this site is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis, treatment, or guidance from a qualified healthcare provider. Our products are dietary supplements. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always consult your physician or another qualified clinician about any questions regarding a medical condition, symptoms, medications, or before starting any supplement, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or managing a health condition.
Editorial Independence
Our educational content is written to inform, not to overstate. While Balance Complex is a commercial brand and some articles reference our products, we separate factual health information from marketing. Health claims are held to the same evidence standard whether or not a product is mentioned, and we avoid language that promises specific medical outcomes.
